Key Stage 2 Results 2017

Following the change to the National Curriculum and the removal of ‘Levels’, we now measure pupils’ attainment as being:

 - 'Working towards the expected standard'
 - 'Working at the expected standard', or
 - 'Working above the expected standard'.

The following tables show the percentage of Year 6 pupils achieving the expected standard and/or above in their end of Key Stage 2 teacher assessments and tests. The data is based on results from 30 pupils.

Progress in Reading, Writing and Maths

The following table shows average progress scores for our pupils at St Mary’s in reading, writing and maths, between the end of KS1 and KS2. The National ‘benchmark’ score for expected progress is Zero (0), so overall progress scores from a school – or the Local Authority as a whole – are presented as positive or negative numbers either side of zero.

 - A score of 0 means pupils in this school, on average, do about as well at key stage 2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally.
 -
A positive (+) score means pupils in this school on average do better at key stage 2 than those with similar prior attainment nationally.
 -
A negative score (-) means pupils in this school on average do worse at key stage 2 than those with similar prior attainment nationally.
