Positive Learning Active Youth (PLAY) was launched in March 2016 with the aim of providing primary school children with the best opportunities possible within their physical education lessons, before and after school and in the school holidays. We aim to get children active, having fun and learning new things in a positive nurturing environment that is tailored for all children.
PLAY offer a wide range of clubs from Football, Cooking, Jewellery Making, Arts and Craft, Dodgeball, Netball and Multi-Sports. This structured element will run for one hour, but after the first hour we offer full wrap around care until 6pm. This is where the children have more free time and they can engage in a wide range of activities. The PLAY team see this as the children’s time and they can use it to relax, play a sport, do some colouring, run around or whatever they can come up with! It truly is their time to express themselves after a long day at school. The children who are booked in until 6pm will be provided with a hot meal each day with the meal being served around 5pm.
PLAY will also run holiday academies during, half terms, INSET days and summer holidays. There will be communication sent out to all parents closer to the time to provide information on how to sign up and the available dates.
